Anse de la Maronaise (Les Goudes, Marseille)

We will take a boat from the Vieux Port at 10.59 to Point Rouge, and then to Les Goudes. The boat leaves every hour (so please be on time; tickets are bought on the boat).

What to bring: sandwiches, something to lie down on, some drinks

Sandwiches: Epicerie Lideal or Razzia 

If you miss the boat, alternative transport: Car, Bus, Uber, Bike (further details to come)

The town nearby has one small market a delicious gelato place and a number of great lunch spots - but we would love for you to come ready to picnic

For food / drinks recommendations in Marseille: 

Le Fooding

For accommodations and housing, we would recommend the following areas:

• Le Panier (1): cute up and coming neighborhood with small streets and nice little airbnbs (best for friends and couples renting airbnbs). Note: Staying closer to the old port is a bit safer than near the train station / further north)

• Cours Julien / La Plaine (2): great central location with a mix of airbnbs and hotels. This is an area with a lot of active nightlife and great access to the city. Perfectly located to make your way around town and meet us for a drink on Wednesday! (Good for all!)

• Malmousque (3): A hilly residential area with some large family homes for big groups of friends or family groups. It is a bit more peaceful than the center of town and has great access to some of the cutest city beaches (Anse de Maldormé). (Best for larger groups, families able to uber, people looking for a bit more peace). Note: you may need some extra walking or an uber to get to the center of town due to the hills.
